VDA Joins CCL Pro 23

Subject: Virginia Development Academy Joins CCL PRO23

Woodbridge, VA (January 6, 2017) – Virginia Development Academy has been selected as a new member for CCL Pro23 for the 2017 season.

“Since we formed VDA, providing our alumni and top youth players the opportunity to continue their development over the summer has been a goal of ours,” said Mike Cullina, Academy Director. “The ability to compete against so many quality organizations without the need for significant travel was a significant factor in our decision to join CCL PRO23."

Matt Lacey, Coaching Director stated, “We are excited to join CCL PRO23. This is a great next step to connect our partner-club youth players with the collegiate game and provide our alumni the chance to improve their game and prepare for the upcoming college season.”

Virginia Development Academy will field both a men and women’s team, including collegiate and non-collegiate players. The roster is open to all interested players and will be filled through open tryouts and invitation.

CCL PRO23 will see over 1,000 competitive youth, amateur and adult players participating in the Summer of 2017.  Many of the players are current NCAA collegiate student-athletes.

CCL PRO23 will kick-off its 2017 campaign the first weekend of June.  CCL PRO23 Championship Weekend will be July 14, 15, 16.

    Virginia Development Academy (“VDA”) operates as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Virginia. VDA represents nearly 11,000 male and female players and coaches at the recreational and select level formed as a collaboration between Chantilly Youth Association, Prince William Soccer Inc, & Virginia Soccer Association to provide National-level competition for its players.
