Prince William Courage Tournament Series announces the VDA College Showcase 2018 will be accepting US Soccer Development Academy (DA) teams for participation along with US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer affiliated teams.  The tournament will be held February 17-19, 2018.

All games will be played in the Northern Virginia area with the primary location being Prince William County.  This event will offer over 10+ Lit Artificial Turf Fields.  All sites are within a short drive to our Nation's Capital Washington DC, as well as other attraction such as Kings Dominion, RFK Stadium (home to DC United), Six Flags, Mount Vernon, National Harbor, Manassas Battlefield, and numerous National Parks and Historical Landmarks.  

Breakdown of each age group and gender for 15U-19U will generally be done with one or two brackets for each division. Each team in the DA brackets will be scheduled for two (2) matches. Matches will be played under DA sanctions rules.  All Non-DA brackets will be scheduled for three (3) matches. &Division matches will take place on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with one match being played each day.

The VDA College Showcase will follow the new US Soccer Guidelines for Age Groups. All groups will be determined by the oldest player on the teams year of Birth. This event will allow a maximum of 6 Guest player per team. The maximum roster size for each Non-DA division team is  twenty- two (22) for 15U-19U, with a game day roster of 18 allowed. The maximum roster size for each DA team is twenty-six (26) for 15U-19U, with a game day roster of 18 allowed.

Tournament Dates: February 17-19, 2018

19U- Born on or after 1/1/1999
18U- Born on or after 1/1/2000
17U- Born on or after 1/1/2001
16U- Born on or after 1/1/2002
15U- Born on or after 1/1/2003

Note: The tournament committee will alone select which division & bracket your team will be placed.

How to Apply for Acceptance:
If you would like to be considered for participation, please complete the online tournament application. Payment of the application fee may be made by either Credit Card or by mailing a check to the PWSI Clubhouse. Our online system will accept Visa & Mastercard. Credit Cards will not be processed until your team has been accepted into the tournament. APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED SUBMITTED AND COMPLETE UNTIL EITHER A CHECK HAS BEEN RECEIVED IN OUR OFFICE OR A CREDIT CARD PAYMENT HAS BEEN AUTHORIZED.
 

Entries after the deadline date of January 7, 2018 will not be considered for acceptance but may be retained for wait list consideration if an accepted team drops. Teams that are accepted but payment is declined may lose a spot in the tournament.

  1. Refund Policy: In the event of inclement weather or other circumstances out of the Tournaments control leading to a Full Event Cancellation, Prince William Courage Tournament Series may refund a maximum of 25% of the Tournament's Registration Fees.
  2. The event will be offering Registration Saver for Tournament and Event Travel Insurance.  This is an additional cost for each participant and is based on the rate of 6% of the travel and individual players cut of tournament registration.  This policy must be filled out no later than 15 days prior to the event.  Registration Saver Policy and Disclaimers.
  3. Teams that drop in writing prior to the event deadline of January 7, 2018 will be given refunds minus a $50.00 administration fee.  No refunds will be granted for teams dropping after January 7, 2018.
  4. Team Selections are made based upon an evaluation of teams record, State, Regional, and National results as well as their results in other tournaments.  The tournament committee will pay more attention to who you play and how you do against them, not just what competition you play in.

Acceptance notifications will be e-mailed on or before January 14, 2018. Early acceptance may be granted for teams traveling outside of Virginia, or Clubs that have previous agreements with the Tournament Committee assuming that payment has been received at the time of application submission.

Applications will be accepted from teams affiliated with DA, USYSA, and US Club Soccer.

Hotel Requirements:
Teams using hotel rooms are required to stay in tournament certified hotels.  Team certified hotels can be found on the Tournament website under the hotel link and are booked through Halpern Travel. Reservations will be made by individual teams that will book a block of rooms with one of the tournament hotels.  Teams that do not use Tournament Hotels will be subject to removal from event without refund.

Registration & Scheduling:
Team Registration will be done online.  All teams are required to enter tournament roster into Team TGS account and VDA College Showcase Event, 2017/18 players cards (matching team roster), and team contact sheet with phone number & name/location of hotel if using. The last day for teams to submit paperwork will be Friday, February 10, 2018.  Failure to register will result in disqualification from the event.

2018/19 player identification cards, team rosters, & medical releases forms for each player should be brought to each match.  Teams traveling from outside of Region 1 will need to submit permission to travel forms at the time of registration.

We will make every effort to de-conflict possible conflicts within the schedule but make no guarantees. Game schedules will not be adjusted to accommodate individual teams or coaches.  

All travel arrangements must be made for one (1) game on Saturday beginning as early as 8:00 AM and last games on Monday beginning as late as early evening.

Referees:
All matches will have three man crews.  This event will host top quality state and regional referees.
