DC United & VDA Partner for Men's U23 Program | Summer 2022

WOODBRIDGE, VA – D.C. United’s U23 program will feature top collegiate, international, and domestic players. The objective is to provide a professional experience and create a professional pathway for players in the DMV area while continuing to support DC United by identifying potential players for Loudoun United and D.C. United.

The D.C. United U23 program will be operated and managed by Virginia Development Academy and train at James Long Park in Haymarket, Virginia.

Pat Ouckama (D.C. United Academy Director) states, “D.C. United is proud to partner with VDA to provide a competitive platform at the U23 age group. Having a platform in place to monitor college-aged talent further solidifies the pathway to the professional teams under the D.C. United umbrella.”

“We are extremely excited to be supporting the player development efforts of DC United. We are looking forward to welcoming the best talent in the DMV between the ages of 16-22 to train and play in a professional environment during the summer months.” states Matt Lacey (D.C. United U23 Director/VDA Technical Director)

Quan Phan (VDA Executive Director) states, " In collaboration with D.C. United, we are excited for this opportunity as the D.C. United U23 program continues to connect the player pathway for the best players at all ages.”

We will be hosting OPEN tryouts in April and May. ALL interested players must register before attending tryouts. Please visit our website to register and D.C. United U23 program details - www.vdasoccer.org/dcunitedu23
